Bio.... Claire Philip Claire Philip is a 6th year pupil at King's Park Secondary School, Glasgow. This young musician has been passionate about music all of her life having grown up surrounded by a musical family. Claire began learning the violin at the age of 9, the piano at 5 and takes every opportunity to sing and entertain people. Next year she hopes to go to university to study music in the hope of persuing a music career in either performing or teaching. Also an aspiring songwriter, Claire would love to one day perform her own material while trying to incorporate her Scottish and Jazz influences into her songs. Her ambition is simply to touch people's hearts through her music."

Nevertheless, War and Operational demands require many of our people to spend a significant time apart from their loved ones. This sublime setting of My Love is like a Red, Red Rose sung by Claire Philip, is released in time for Valentines Day, as part of a two-track CD called The light that brings us home. It is a gentle tribute to all who have paid the Supreme Sacrifice, and a gift to those who continue that Love in a broken world. Many wounded lives will be consoled by the generosity of Spirit behind this production. Indeed, Blair Douglas has kindly donated an instrumental track in support of this combined initiative. All monies raised will be used by the Naval Chaplaincy Service to quietly assist in the Pastoral care of our bereaved Service Personnel, their families, and partners.
