Glasgow the Caring City and our international group of partners are delivering some highly valuable development programs across Iraq.

In the South of Iraq, Glasgow the Caring City is supporting the work of the British Armed Force as they deliver peace and stability to the Basra regions.

In central Iraq, thanks to our strong and ever growing relationship with World Emergency Relief and US. International Relief & Development, we have been able to deliver 40+ hospital beds to Mosul, North of Baghdad. The town of Mosul has seen some of the worst violence and not long after our aid arrived, a bomb in a local market killed many and injuried dozens. Thanks to the aid we delivered and the effective partnerships we work within, we were able to quickly and effectively provide relief in that situation.

Much of our work in Iraq is done in a low key fashion of support, which complements the actions of partner organisations but which must remain descrete.
